At present, the construction of the project plant has been basically completed, the production and commissioning are under way, and the subsequent completion acceptance will be carried out.

The total investment of the 300 t/a carbon aerogel new material construction project is proposed to be 70.3033 million yuan. Carbon aerogel products belong to the company’s new material business, which is the expansion of the company’s existing new material business. This project is the industrial application of the company’s core technology “carbon aerogel industrial preparation technology”. The construction period of the project starts from September 2021. At present, the construction of the project plant has been basically completed, the production and commissioning are under way, and the subsequent completion acceptance will be carried out.

The 10000 t/a spherical weighting material project is planned to have a total investment of 89.2298 million yuan, mainly to build a 10000 t/a spherical weighting material production line, and the main body of implementation is the new materials of the mining institute. The planned construction period of this project is 24 months. At present, the project has not been started.

It is reported that the advanced powder material industrial park project of Sinosteel Mining Institute was constructed by Maanshan New Material Technology Co., Ltd. of Sinosteel Group with an investment of 2 billion yuan. The project is divided into two phases. In the first phase, three carbon aerogel production lines, two high-performance hollow glass beads production lines, and one spherical weighting material production line will be constructed. After reaching the capacity, the project can produce 1000 tons of carbon aerogel, 15000 tons of high-performance hollow glass microsphere, and 20000 tons of spherical weighting materials annually. It is expected to achieve an annual output value of 1 billion yuan and an annual tax of 60 million yuan.

The first phase of the project was started in October 2021. At present, the main plant has been completed, the equipment has been installed and commissioned, and is in trial production. It will be formally put into production before the end of the year.
